Flotation Technologies' modular buoys are the most versatile approach for offshore applications. The company's modular buoys are offered in a variety of standard sizes with buoyancy as great as 10 tonnes and depth ratings to 3000msw and beyond. For installation of pipeline sleds, jumpers or suspended moorings, this multi-purpose product offers a straightforward way to meet buoyancy requirements.
Our modular buoys are made from high strength Flotec™ syntactic foam that is cast into extremely durable, rotationally molded polyethylene shells. Only the highest strength epoxy-based materials are used to form the buoyant core — no macrosphere or other fillers. Each polyethylene shell has a thickness of 0.5-0.6" (13-15mm) that protects against high impact and abrasion during service. Modules interlock for added strength and can easily be repaired or replaced.
Modular HardwareOur variety of unique modular hardware assembly consists of an adjustable steel central strength member that adjusts to accomodate the addition or subtraction of buoyancy modules. Most are supplied with a crucifix and pad eye configuration, however, we offer a wide range of end fittings. To protect against corrosion during long-term deployments, all steelwork can be epoxy coated depending on customer's specifications and requirements. Fittings can also be specified "ROV friendly".
Time truly is money for offshore contractors. Flotation Technologies boasts the quickest proposal and product delivery in the industry. Our engineers will work with you to ensure that you get the exact products you need — when and where you need it.
With rugged construction and the use of the world's most reliable, field-proven syntactic foams, Flotec™ modular buoys provide offshore users with years of trouble-free service.
